Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rome, NY seeks a full-time manufacturing worker to support packaging, labeling and quality control on a fast-paced line.

You will operate hand tools and measuring devices, assist with material handling, and help maintain cleanliness and safety on the production floor. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with overtime possible as orders vary.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and strength required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safe procedures.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a requirement.
• Overhead crane experience is helpful but not required.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and labeling material for loading and distribution.

• Use hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, screw guns.
• Use measuring gauges and tape measures.
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuous production with high quality and minimal waste.
• Housekeeping and sanitation.

Job description

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Packaging and labeling material for loading and distribution
• Responsible for quality control of finished products
• Working with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, screw guns
• Using measuring gauges and tape measures
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Housekeeping and sanitation

Qualifications

• Physical Stamina and Strength
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a requirment
• Experience in overhead crane operations are helpful but not required
• Experience with Forklifts helpful but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
