Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: setting up and operating various production machines, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment. The position hours are from 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Essential Functions

1. Operate machinery used in the production process following safety guidelines and policies.
2. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards and observe equipment for malfunctions.
3. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
4. Verify counts on finished products, mark or tag identification, and load/unload items from machines and conveyors.
5. Assist helpers by delegating tasks, managing work procedures, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
6. Record production data, including the number of products tested, production readings, and timestamps.
7. Start machines or equipment to initiate production processes.
8. Separate products based on weight, grade, size, or material composition.
9. Prepare products for further processing, inspection, or packaging.
10. Remove products, attachments, and waste from machines.
11. Pack and store materials and products appropriately.
12. Bundle products for processing or shipment following prescribed procedures.
13. Transfer materials and products between storage and work areas using manual or powered equipment.
14. Coordinate with coworkers to move products during production.
15. Prepare raw materials for processing.
16. Read gauges and charts, and record relevant data.
17. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, machines, and equipment.
18. Change machine knives using appropriate tools.
19. Assist in other areas of the shop, office, or warehouse as needed.
20. Attend work during scheduled shifts, arriving on time and ready to work.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Experience operating machinery or training on specific machine processes.

Computer Skills: Ability to learn basic computer skills and company-specific software.

Certificates & Licenses: Proficiency in English.
