Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to run CNC machinery and related shop equipment.

You will load programs and materials, read blueprints, set up fixtures, monitor operations, and verify parts with micrometers and calipers. Training may require occasional split shifts in the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of machining experience (CNC and/or manual).
• Experience with manual lathes, drill presses and saws is a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Manual machinist experience preferred.
• MUST have experience with calipers & micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and related shop equipment, making adjustments as needed.
• Load programs, tools, and materials into machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine part dimensions and specifications.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
• Start, monitor, and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions and make corrections.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify conformance to specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using overhead cranes or other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform heavy lifting and remain in constant motion throughout the shift.

Mon-Thurs 3pm-1am
$19-$26 (based on experience)

(The first 90 days of training may require a split shift)

Job Duties:

• Operate CNC machinery and related shop equipment, making adjustments as needed
• Load programs, tools, and materials into machines
