Job summary

CHEP is hiring for a 1st shift production associate in Wilmington, MA. You will set up tools and equipment, ensure materials are ready, and operate wood-cutting machinery to specification.

You’ll monitor flow along the line and promptly fix jams to keep production moving safely and efficiently. You will report larger equipment issues to maintenance and maintain a clean, safety-driven workspace while coordinating with team members and supervisors for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 77 lbs for part of the shift.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Able to operate and monitor production equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly line use.
• Ensure that all materials and components are available and in proper quantities.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify issues with tools and equipment before operation.
• Operate machinery that cuts wood and wood products to specified lengths.
• Monitor equipment functionality and address jams promptly to minimize downtime.
• Report larger equipment issues to the maintenance team and maintain clean work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth flow.
