Job summary

CHEP is hiring for a Forklift Operator in Georgia, USA. You will move pallets and containers across a multi-department plant, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring safe, efficient material handling.

You will operate forklifts, follow safety guidelines, and support lean operations as part of a busy supply chain team. The role requires 2+ years in a fast-moving setting, forklift certification, and the ability to work 2nd shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial, fast-moving setting preferred.
• Forklift operation experience with certification required.
• 18+ years of age and able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift to move pallets through the plant and departments.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks and lifting device under/over loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Supplies and retrieves pallets or materials from different departments as needed.
• Decides movement of pallets to maximize plant efficiency.
• Lubricates and replaces liquefied-gas tank when needed.
• Sits for long periods of time; forklift must be operated with care as per safety procedures.
