Job summary

Leading Technology Composites, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a production operator for 2nd shift to load materials, run machines, and verify product quality. You will read work orders, adjust controls, and monitor indicators to ensure specifications are met in a safety-conscious environment.

Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work overtime or weekends as needed. ITAR/safety training will be provided and adherence to safety guidelines is required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Machine shop skills and general computer familiarity preferred.
• Ability to work in heated environment.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.

• Read and understand verbal and written workorders to determine process specifications.
• Adjust manual controls or enter commands in computerized control panel to run appropriate programs.
• Monitor machine instruments, switches, and recorders and listen for warning signals during operation to ensure conformance to specifications, and modify or aborts process as required.
• Maintain manual or computerized processing records.
• Ensure that all products are produced to the highest quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance/ safety checks on machines
• Follow safety requirements
• Perform 5S Requirements for work area
• Attendance is critical in all positions; be on time to work daily
• Be dependable, reliable, and a positive team-player
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor
• Work in a team environment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications
• Assist with other duties as assigned

2nd Shift- 3:30PM-1AM & Friday 11AM-3PM

Requirements

• Forklift experience preferred
• Prefer machine shop skills and general computer familiarity
• Ability to work in a heated environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and climb steps, in an area with limited climate control
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull heavy materials safely, up to 50 lbs independently, using team lift when necessary for heavier materials over 50 lbs.
