Job summary

Metal Finishing Technologies, LLC seeks a Production Operator in the Tooling Department. You will perform part cleaning, packing, deliveries, and equipment checks with intensive on‑the‑job training.

Shift is 3:30 am–11:00 am, Monday–Friday, with alternating weekends. DOT physical and drug screening are required; safety and quality standards must be followed daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to daily deliver.
• Must be reliable, flexible on hours, and able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Strip and clean parts, including acid baths and grit blasting per client instructions.
• Pack and transport finished product to clients, including early/late shifts.
• Pick up parts for service and refill tanks as needed.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Complete work orders and paperwork, ensure compliance with specs.
• Maintain log books and follow safety/EHS procedures.
• Support safety procedures and PPE compliance daily.

MFT is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and reliable candidate who will have the ability to complete all necessary training in order to become a competent, effective, and successful Production Operator in the Tooling Department. The candidate must be able to make daily runs, receiving and delivery of parts, locally and out of state. The candidate will be provided with intensive training to ensure successful completion of tasks.

*Hours are from 3:30 am - 11:00 am, Monday through Friday, and alternating weekend shifts (approx. every 3rd weekend 3:30 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday as well with double time on Sundays).

You will need to pass a DOT Physical in order drive for this job.

• Strip and clean parts, including but not limited to acid baths and grit blasting, according to specific instructions of the client.


• Pack and transport finished product to clients including but not limited to early morning and/or afternoon.


• Pick up parts for service based on request(s) of the client.


• Refill tanks as needed


• Monitor condition of all equipment and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.


• Complete work order and related paper work thoroughly.


• Ensure parts are processed in accordance to specifications on work orders.


• Maintain paperwork and log books.


• Must comply with safety committee and EHS requirements.


• Must follow all safety procedures when working with materials on a daily basis, including but not limited to: wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


• Understand and conform to MFT/Customer/QC standards.


• Provide safe working environment by properly handling chemicals.


• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma, or equivalent.


• Must have a current driver’s license that is in good standing


• Must be comfortable making daily deliveries


• Must be flexible to working variable hours, including specific holidays and weekend rotations


• Must be reliable


• Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs on a frequent basis


• Must be able to pass DOT Physical and Pre-employment drug screen


• One (1) or more years of experience operating a 16ft and/or 22ft box truck preferred


• Manufacturing/Industrial experience preferred but not required
