About the Role:

PURPOSE

To safely operate assigned machine(s) at maximum efficiency producing a quality product.

MULTIPLE MACHINE OPERATOR OPENINGS ON BOTH 2ND AND 3RD SHIFTS!

The 1st shift position will be scheduled for hours of Monday 3AM-2PM, Tuesday-Friday 6AM-2PM.

The 2nd shift position will be scheduled for the hours of 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday - Friday and Saturdays as required.

The 3rd shift position will be scheduled for the hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am, Monday - Friday and Saturdays as required.

In this role, working in excess of 40 hours per week is required, with overtime scheduled based on individual responsibilities and department needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conform to Jel Sert safety procedures, GMP requirements, and work instructions.
• Operate assigned machine(s) efficiently and timely.
• Perform safety inspections on assigned machine.
• Report any quality or safety issues to supervisor or lead.
• Complete production documentation as required.
• Communicate with mechanics regarding issues.
• Supply machines with correct materials.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

FOOD SAFETY/QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow work procedures and monitor quality control points (QCPs).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Independent, observant, with good motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Ability to identify quality issues. Basic math skills. Prior machine operator experience is not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Manufacturing environment that is fast-paced; requires full range of motion, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long hours, and exposure to odors and dusts. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.
