Job summary

Volt is seeking a Machine Operator in West Chester, OH for a full-time contract position. You will measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipe, operate band saws and pipe-threading equipment, and move pipe within the shop and yard.

The role requires attention to safety and accuracy in fabricating and assembling pipe orders. The ideal candidate has experience with machinery and pipe fabrication tools, plus tape measure literacy and an understanding of industrial fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

MOVE FORWARD WITH VOLTVolt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in West Chester, OHAs a Machine Operator, you will be:

• Responsible for following accurate measures, record, and add random pipe length.


• Responsible for measuring and cutting pipe with band saw or torches.


• Responsible for threading and beveling of pipe with Landis machines.


• Responsible for moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.


• Responsible for precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipes.


• Responsible for assembling pipe orders with single sticks or bundles and maintaining organized work supplies.


• Responsible for inspecting and maintaining all forklift equipment.

This is a full-time contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in machinery, pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, or mechanical background.


• Experience of using and understanding tape measures.


• Experience of industrial, fabrication and understanding of the tools.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
