Job summary

Winegar, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a reliable production operator to run onsite machinery according to SOPs and safety rules. You will monitor operation, perform adjustments, inspect finished parts, and maintain accurate production logs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues with the shop team, tagging containers, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping the work area clean. High school diploma or GED is required; a 2-year Vo-Tech degree is preferred. Must lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Desirable: 2-year Vo-Tech degree in machining or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines per standard operating procedures.
• Monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and report mechanical issues to Shop Foreman/maintenance.
• Inspect finished products for quality specifications.
• Make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain logs of production, machine performance, and incidents.
• Tag containers of parts with proper IDs when moving to next department.
• Perform daily planned preventive maintenance and assist with machine maintenance.
• Keep work area clean; return tooling to storage after use.
• Arrive on time and complete tasks as assigned.
• Communicate clearly with the next shift to pass on information.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description

• Operating machine according to standard operating procedures.
• Continuously monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
• Troubleshoot and report any mechanical issues to the Shop Foreman/maintenance team.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain logs of production activities, machine performance and any incidents.
• Make sure each container of parts has proper identification tags when moving to next department.
• Performs daily planned preventive machine maintenance and assists with overall machine maintenance as required.
• Performs daily house cleaning activities to include keeping work area clean and clear of unused material. Return tooling to proper storage area at completion of job.
• Consistently shows up for work at assigned times needed to complete tasks assigned.
• Effectively communicates verbally or in writing as required with the next shift to pass on relevant information to maintain optimum quality and process capacity.
• Other duties and special projects that may be assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
