Job summary

Westfall Technik, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift at our Wakefield, MI facility. The role focuses on running molding presses, inspecting parts with micrometers, and maintaining quality per specifications.

You'll follow strict shift procedures, document activities, and stay safety-conscious in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with the team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior manufacturing experience is desired but not required.
• Must follow safety protocols and detailed work instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding presses and monitor production.
• Check parts using a micrometer where applicable.
• Inspect parts for quality defects such as cracks or chips.
• Trim and inspect parts per customer specification when needed.
• Follow process work instructions and quality requirements.
• Count, organize and package parts per requirements.
• Complete shift paperwork per work instructions.
• Report defects or production issues to Lead/Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work as a team; perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking Machine Operator, with the below qualifications:

Shift: 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm

Professional Attributes

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior manufacturing experience is desired, but not required
• Positive outlook while working through obstacles
• Self-starter, high level of initiative
• Detail orientated
• Good time management skills
• Good communication skills — written, verbal, active listening

Desired Skills And Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Operate molding presses
• Check parts using a micrometer, if applicable
• Check parts for quality defects such as cracks and chip outs
• Trim and inspect parts as needed by customer specification, if applicable
• Follow work instructions on the process and desired quality needed with each production run
• Count, organize and package parts per requirements
• Properly complete all shift paperwork per work instructions
• Communicates all part defects or problems regarding production issues to Lead, Technician, and/or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work as a team
• Other duties as assigned
