Job summary

Westfall Technik is seeking a Machine Operator to inspect and handle molded plastic parts, perform quality checks, package and palletize, and maintain production records. The role requires following GMPs and safety procedures to support efficient production and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in plastics/manufacturing is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in a team environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in plastic manufacturing or injection molding preferred.
• Able to read and understand basic work instructions, diagrams and safety signage.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with metric/standard measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of parts to ensure quality and consistency.
• Sort, trim, cut and pack finished products per work instructions and customer specs.
• Document production data accurately using forms or systems.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and surrounding areas.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
• Support training programs for new operators or cross-training activities.

Job Overview

The Injection Molding Machine Operator is responsible for inspecting and handling molded plastic products in accordance with established quality standards and customer requirements This position performs quality checks packages and palletizes finished goods applies product identification labels and maintains accurate production documentation as required The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area complying with site Good Manufacturing Practices GMPs and following all safety quality and operational procedures to support efficient production and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in process inspections of parts to ensure quality and consistency
• Sort trim cut and pack finished products according to work instructions and customer specifications
• Participate in rotation assignments between machines as directed
• Document production data accurately using provided forms or systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and surrounding areas
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
• Support training programs for new operators or cross training activities
• Follow established troubleshooting procedures and elevate issues when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and quality objectives

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety procedures, policies and regulations
• Comply with applicable quality standards including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and peers
• Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement or efficiency gains
• Ensure final products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and appearance
• Ability to lift carry and move materials and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift
• Perform other duties as assigned to support safe efficient and compliant manufacturing operations
