Responsibilities

  • Equipment operation: feed resin, calibrate heat, align dies and screen packs.
  • Oversee production cycles to maintain gauge, width, and tensile strength.
  • Quality checks: inspect finished packaging for flaws and gauge consistency.
  • Safety and upkeep: keep workspace clean and clear minor obstructions.

Job description

  • Equipment Configuration: Feed raw resin into hoppers, calibrate barrel heat settings, and ensure dies and screen packs are properly aligned.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor ongoing production cycles, such as extruded sheets or blown film bubbles, to ensure consistent gauge, width, and tensile strength outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Examine completed packaging for flaws, rips, or gauge inconsistencies to help maintain high product standards for our customers.
  • Safety and Upkeep: Perform basic cleaning and clear minor obstructions to help foster a secure and efficient working environment for the entire team.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Academic Background: Completion of high school or a GED; additional technical training in plastics manufacturing is considered an advantage.
  • Professional Experience: Open to candidates ranging from those starting as trainees to individuals with 3 or more years of direct experience operating co-extrusion or blown-film equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to remain standing throughout extended shifts, lift weights reaching 50 lbs (23 kg), and thrive in a warm, high-speed manufacturing setting.
