Job summary

Surge Staffing seeks an Extrusion Operator with blown film experience to support our manufacturing team. You will operate and monitor blown film equipment, perform startups and changeovers, and ensure product quality and process safety.

Ideal candidates have prior extrusion/blown film experience, with a background in flexible packaging. This is a 12-hour shift position with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in extrusion or blown film manufacturing REQUIRED.
• Experience operating or assisting with extrusion lines or similar plastics processing equipment.
• Background in flexible packaging or film production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor blown film extrusion equipment.
• Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Monitor film quality, thickness, and output to meet specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and record production data accurately.
• Troubleshoot minor process and equipment issues.
• Ensure proper material blends and machine setup.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Communicate production issues and updates to supervisors.

Overview

We are a growing manufacturing company specializing in high-quality plastic films used in flexible packaging, including food-grade applications. We are seeking experienced Extrusion Operators with blown film experience to support our production team.

Candidates with experience from similar plastics and flexible packaging environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and monitoring blown film extrusion lines to ensure efficient production, consistent quality, and adherence to all safety standards.
