Job summary

Hamilton Connections, Inc. in Walden, NY is seeking machine operators for day and overnight shifts at a manufacturing facility. These are temp-to-hire positions with competitive hourly pay.

As a machine operator you will safely set up, operate and monitor converting equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role requires 2+ years of production experience and the ability to work Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating machines for production of products, such as converting machinery
• Experience setting up machines for production jobs, adjusting machine settings during production, and troubleshooting any machine issues during production
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information
• Exceptional time management, organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options
• Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stretching, reaching, standing, sitting, crawling, climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work while wearing PPE when needed

Responsibilities

• Safely set up, operate and monitor converting machinery and equipment to meet production goals
• Complete converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings and calibrating equipment
• Monitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met
• Verify and track all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently
• Train and provide guidance to machine assistants and new crew members
• Keep machinery and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wear appropriate PPE as required, report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member
• Complete all necessary documentation for internal or external use
• Effectively work with other departments or team members to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise
• Other duties as assigned

The day shift is 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

The overnight shift is 5 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday-Friday.

The salary is $23-$25 per hour.
