This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale, typically starting at $20.55 per hour, paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne considers various factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location in determining the actual pay.

Position: Machine Operator

Location: Tyler, TX

The Machine Operator will work at one of Scotts' production plants, mechanically combining raw materials to produce finished products.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operating computer-controlled production systems.
2. Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
3. Completing daily checklists and equipment checks.
4. Maintaining accurate records.
5. Operating forklifts.
6. Performing safety audits and equipment maintenance.
7. Setting up and calibrating machines.
8. Monitoring machines and troubleshooting issues.
9. Ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
10. Managing materials and activity logs.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. At least one year of production plant experience preferred.
3. Ability to identify materials, follow safety practices, and read instructions.
4. Ability to work in dusty, hot/cold environments, lift 50 pounds, and work on feet all day.
5. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
