Description

The Trident Company has an opening for a First Shift Machine Operator in Tulsa, OK.

The Machine Operator performs advanced production activities requiring a high level of skill and proficiency in material handling, production processes, and multiple machine operations acquired through extended experience and training.

The Trident Company is a multi-faceted metals service center providing non-ferrous metals nationally from locations in Texas and Oklahoma.

Job Requirements

1. Positioning workpieces for processing
2. Operating a combination of different machines to process work by cutting, burning, sawing, blasting, shearing, punching, grinding, bending, or pressing
3. Using gauges, calipers, squares, or rulers for measurement
4. Determining processing specifications such as materials, cutting tools, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences by reviewing blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions, or other written specifications
5. Installing and aligning specified punches, cutting blades, or other fixtures in machine beds using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, or hand tools
6. Adjusting controls to set cutting speed, depth, and feed rates; diagnosing problems; and making necessary adjustments
7. Performing quality control inspections on finished products; for ISO-certified locations, performing In-Process Quality Inspections
8. Coordinating and executing material handling of all inventories to be processed, including operation of overhead cranes
9. Performing limited preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, cleaning, and changing parts
10. Training less experienced workers and acting as lead in the absence of a group leader
11. Marking identification on materials or workpieces before processing
12. Marking materials after processing, storing materials for additional processing and/or shipping
13. Restocking materials
14. Completing work order paperwork and documentation
15. Performing other related duties as assigned
