Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, routing sheets, and manufacturing instructions.
- Basic math skills required for measurements, machine adjustments, and quality inspections.
Experience Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, machine operation, CNC operation, or production environments.
- Experience operating machining equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, or other production machinery preferred.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized manufacturing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to identify machine components and troubleshoot basic production issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards, first article inspections, and production documentation.
- Dependable attendance and flexibility to support cross-training initiatives.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, grinding, hammering, rolling parts, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to safely operate production and machining equipment.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision manufacturing work.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
Job Duties
- Operate and assist with specialized machining equipment used to manufacture precision components.
- Read engineering drawings, routing sheets, job orders, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Assist with setup and operation of drill presses, engine lathes, CNC mills, CNC lathes, and related machining equipment.
- Perform machining operations including drilling, threading, boring, reaming, countersinking, grooving, turning, and facing materials.
- Adjust machine settings, speeds, feeds, and cutting depths to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment to verify specifications and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with production leadership to meet daily output goals and maintain accurate production records.
- Report equipment issues, support machine maintenance activities, and assist with cross-training throughout the facility.
