Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machinery to produce quality parts.
  • Work with saws, press brakes, laser equipment, and plasma machines.
  • Locate and identify materials needed for production jobs.
  • Complete material requisitions accurately.
  • Produce finished components according to quality standards.
  • Enter time and labor reporting information daily.
  • Move materials, tools, and equipment manually or with a jib crane.
  • Layout, cut, and fit parts as required.
  • Fabricate metal components according to specifications and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a clean and safe condition.
  • Coordinate workflow with team members and other departments.
  • Complete production and quality assurance documentation.
  • Communicate with engineering and production teams as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout 10 hour shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
