Job summary

Remedy Staffing is seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join a growing food manufacturing team in New York. The role focuses on operating and setting up production equipment, maintaining food safety, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work with mixers, depositors, conveyors, packaging equipment, and metal detectors, following FIFO practices, 5S standards, and safety procedures while contributing to product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and set up production equipment.
• Work with mixers, depositors, conveyors, packaging equipment, metal detectors, box makers, and other production machinery.
• Monitor equipment settings and ensure efficient production flow.
• Rotate raw materials using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Train and support fellow team members as needed.
• Assist supervisors by identifying production issues and suggesting solutions.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5S standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support food safety, quality, GMP, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure products meet company quality and regulatory standards.
