Job summary

Knight Enterprises Management, L.L.C. seeks a Machine Operator to perform basic machinist duties under supervision. Work with mills and lathes, operate complex machines, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure parts meet exacting specs.

Required experience in metal works and knowledge of CNC milling and grinding. Responsibilities include loading parts, inspecting dimensions, maintaining organization, and documenting data in the MRP system.

• Perform preventive maintenance on devices and systems.
• Record machine data for reporting and records.
• Notify supervisor if raw product or finished parts do not meet standards.
• Prepare documents for inventory or audits.
• Compute workload capacity and running time.
• Coordinate with est. reps to rectify problems and nonconformances.
• Utilize logic to evaluate solutions to problems.
• Track and upload data into the MRP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Some experience in metal works preferred.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) aided milling and grinding.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

• Load and run quality approved parts.
• Check all dimensions and visual aspects of parts as instructed.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Follow directions accurately and consistently.
• Performs machinist work involving fabrication of specialized parts.
• Maintains strict tolerance requirements in the manufacture of parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on devices and systems.
• Records machine data for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
• Contacts supervisory personnel when raw product, events or finished products are not conforming to required standards.
• Prepares documents as required to perform inventory or audit.
• Computes amounts of workload capacity and running time.
• Confers and corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and
• nonconformance to specifications.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Tracks and uploads appropriate date into MRP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.
