FLSA Status: Nonexempt/Hourly

Hourly Rate Range: $21.96-$23.80/Hour

Summary

The Machine Operator operates and maintains machinery to ensure efficient production, setting up machines, monitoring operations, and adjusting as needed. Responsibilities include following safety protocols, inspecting products, recording data, and supporting continuous improvements. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand SOPs and safety training requirements.
• Wear PPE properly at all times.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly 5S tasks.
• Read micrometers and measure wire diameters accurately.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Adjust machinery settings as needed.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Work any shift (Day or Night).

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent, basic arithmetic skills, ability to complete forms and understand instructions.

Initiative and Ingenuity

Use judgment to follow instructions and standard procedures, making minor decisions as required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift Certification required.

Physical Demands

Constant use of hands, talking, hearing; frequent standing, lifting, and moving heavy objects; occasional work at heights and exposure to various environmental conditions.

Work Environment

Exposure to loud machinery, vibration, temperature extremes, dust, fumes, and chemicals. Must follow safety policies and wear protective equipment.

Protective Clothing/Devices

Hardhat, earplugs, goggles, gloves, safety shoes, masks as needed.
