Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring products are packaged efficiently and meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Steel toes or work boots

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Machine Efficiency: Anticipate film and coding ribbon changes to maximize machine uptime.
2. Line Logs: Fill out paperwork accurately and legibly. Use bar coding equipment as required.
3. Personnel: Assist in training new employees.
4. Troubleshooting: Monitor equipment, identify and correct problems. Contact supervision or maintenance for persistent issues. Use tools for minor adjustments.
5. Targets/Goals: Know the targets for the work center and adjust equipment accordingly.
6. Packaging Supplies: Check for defects and ensure proper film, boxes, dividers, etc., are used.
7. Input Material: Monitor products for defects, and ensure product size, bleaching status, and dryness meet standards.
8. Finished Product Quality: Monitor finished bags for appearance, printing, sealing, etc.
9. Weight Control: Monitor package weights and make adjustments to meet giveaway targets.

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent
