Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production team member to operate equipment, feed materials, and document results in a climate-controlled plant in South Dakota. You will read traveler/work orders, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with frontline leadership to achieve daily production goals.

Job Description

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Report to front line leadership.
  • Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
  • Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime including clearing & restarting machinery as necessary.
  • Visually inspect & gauge product in production. Documenting inspection results.
  • Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
  • Correctly complete daily production reports & submit at shift’s end.
  • Feed materials to machines to keep production running.
  • Read & interpret traveler/work order.
  • Operate & understand MATTEC software.
  • Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required.
  • Uphold Safety Absolutes.
  • Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions.
  • Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs repeatedly.
  • Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Negative drug screen results.
  • Work in a safe manner.
  • Previous experience in an assembly operation preferred.

Additional Information

  • 12 hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off)
  • Climate Controlled Environment
  • Additional $1.50/hr differential for night shift.

  • Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up.
  • Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude.
  • Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
  • Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.
  • Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
  • Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.
  • Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
  • Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
