Sun Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to support the machine department on-site in California. The role focuses on machining composite hardware and requires familiarity with HAAS controls and tool offsets. The position is up to 12 months and offers benefits as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extrusion machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
• Sets up machining machines, makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines.
• Checks work using gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process control or other procedures.

Job Description

Pay rate: $25 to $35/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
• May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines.
• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
