Job summary

Quick-Quack-Car-Wash is seeking a skilled Machine Operator experienced with laser cutting, plasma tables, hydraulic press brakes, metal saws, and metal preparation tools in a fast-paced production setting.

The role requires operating Trumpf laser machines or equivalent systems, reading blueprints, and performing quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing role operating industrial machines.
• Direct experience with Trumpf or similar laser cutting systems.
• Skilled in operating press brakes, metal saws, and using grinders and deburring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written work instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Dependable, motivated, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Trumpf laser cutting machines or similar systems to cut metal accurately and efficiently.
• Run and monitor plasma tables, hydraulic press brakes, metal saws, grinders, and deburring tools for part processing and finishing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and fabrication drawings to ensure parts are made to spec.
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, gauges) to confirm tolerances.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Assist in material prep, handling, and maintaining an organized work area.
• Work closely with team leads and fellow operators to maintain daily production goals.
• Follow strict safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC or fabrication training/certification.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• If you are tasked to drive as a part of this role, then it is required that you have a clean driving record and a current Driver's License that is not suspended or expired.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
