Job summary

CMC is seeking individuals for a position that involves operating cage welding machines to build steel reinforcement cages for concrete pipe and box culverts. This role requires the ability to read work orders, set up machines, and monitor quality.

What You'll Do

• Read work orders and basic drawings to ensure accurate production
• Set up machines based on specifications (wire size, spacing, dimensions)
• Operate cage welding machines to build steel reinforcement cages for concrete pipe and box culverts
• Monitor equipment and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished cages for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE

What You'll Need

• Manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic drawings
• Comfortable with physical work (standing, bending, lifting)
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
