Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing equipment for wire and cable production. You will help ensure high-quality output and efficient processes in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, with every other weekend scheduled, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing and equipment troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate complex manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and operational checks.
• Monitor production processes and make corrections to maintain quality standards.
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, procedures, and production instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance.
• Accurately complete production, quality, and traceability documentation.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.

What You’ll Do

As a Machine Operator, you will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing equipment used to produce high-quality wire and cable products for customers around the world.

This is more than a button-pushing role. We’re looking for individuals who can think critically, identify issues, make adjustments, and keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate complex manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment
• Troubleshoot equipment, product quality, and process issues to minimize downtime
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and operational checks
• Monitor production processes and make necessary corrections to maintain quality standards
• Conduct visual inspections and mechanical measurements to verify product quality
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, procedures, and production instructions
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance
• Accurately complete production, quality, and traceability documentation
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Participate in cross-training and ongoing skill development opportunities

Qualifications
