Job summary

Wall Colmonoy is seeking a Machine Operator to participate in manufacturing by reading blueprints, setting up and operating presses, and ensuring parts meet specifications while adhering to safety standards. The role emphasizes quality control and proper use of PPE in a moderate-noise environment.

The ideal candidate should have up to 3 years of experience or Vo-Tech training, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to understand product drawings and instructions.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years’ experience and/or Vo-Tech training.
• Knowledge of Aerospace assemblies and parts (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand instructions; quality control; and safety.
• Effective verbal, written communications skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must be able to read, evaluate and respond to product specifications and drawings.

Job description

SUMMARY:

The Machine Operator is an important member of the manufacturing team and is responsible for machining various parts to the correct specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reads blueprint or job order for product.
• Operate machinery, set-up and run presses.
• Able to use basic hand tools.
• Verifies that parts are of high quality and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Observe all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and observe all safety requirements such as machining guards, lifting techniques, slips and falls prevention, etc.
