Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a Machine Operator to run bakery-pastry machinery from mixing to oven baking to packaging. You will monitor flow, adjust control settings, and collaborate with maintenance and supervisors to maintain a safe, GMP-compliant environment.

The role requires reading and following equipment instructions, working with PLC panels, and supporting a continuous production line while meeting product standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain and adjust various bakery equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers, laminators, boilers, slicers, packaging).
• Monitor temperature, timers, and product flow through conveyors.
• Operate PLC panels to control product flow and speeds.
• Troubleshoot process issues and adjust speeds as needed.
• Document weight, yield, downtime and other metrics.
• Communicate equipment issues to Lead or Supervisor.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and changeovers.
• Follow all company policies and training procedures.

The

Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating bakery-pastry machinery and its associated down-stream equipment. The Machine Operator will monitor and control the continuous flow of product thru the production process, from mixing ingredients to oven baking to product packaging. The Machine Operator will adjust control panel settings as needed. Collaborate with team members, maintenance, and supervisors to maintain a safe work environment and adhering to Crown Bakeries GMPs and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Equipment may include Oven systems, Mixer Equipment, Proofers, Laminators, Boilers, Slicers, Packaging and/or Bagging Machines.
• Maintains and adjusts freezer-retard temperature and sets timer to required setting.
• Monitors the process to ensure continues bakery product process flow through conveyor systems.
• Will operate various PLC panels to control proper flow of product.
• Troubleshoots process and makes speed adjustments.
• Document weight, product yield, downtime and additional metrics.
• Collaborates with the in-line Mixer to ensure continues product flow.
• Adjusts ensuring product standards, specifications, and customer requirements are met.
• Read and work with technology to monitor machine functions.
• Notify the Lead or Supervisor of any equipment problems immediately.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments.
• Proficient at routine preventative maintenance as well as changeovers.
• Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Attends all company training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all GMP's, Food Defense and quality policies as outlined by Crown Bakeries
• Ensures all GMP and all food hygiene and safety standards are in compliance
• Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen or magnet deviancies', glass breakage, and pest harborage.

Work Environment
