Job summary

Franz Family Bakery is seeking a production associate to support daily bakery operations on the manufacturing line. You will help maintain an upbeat work environment and assist in training staff on equipment use while upholding clean and sanitary procedures.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper packaging, labeling accuracy, and communicating stock levels to management. Other duties may be assigned as needed to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • No high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in production line duties preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or bakery experience may substitute.

Job description

Typical Duties and Responsibilities Primary
  • Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiasm
  • Show and provide proper training on all equipment. Assist co-workers in practicing clean, safe
    and sanitary procedures in work area and with all equipment
  • Follow all packaging/handling procedures to ensure quality of goods by following code.
  • Dating and legal regulations. Check labeling and packaging of all manufactured products being
    delivered to warehouse or individual stores.
  • Communicate with managers on quality of all baked goods, information on stock levels of
    packaging materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Ability to: Required
  • Perform in a friendly, courteous, tactful way and maintain composure in dealing with co-
  • Visually inspect products.
  • Stand for long periods of time, walk, move rapidly, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Operate bakery utensils, ovens and machinery with manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and safety.
  • Handle bakery ingredients and products from raw to ready to eat.
  • Perform basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiple) and compute weights and measures.
  • Perform duties with mental alertness involving potential hazards with respect to baking
    procedures, equipment, and work aides.
  • Perform around equipment and product emitting heat (approximately 400 degrees).
  • Learn safety and sanitation procedures and department policies.
  • Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as required.
  • Lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • No high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in similar production line duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred.
  • Work experience in other similar industrial, manufacturing, or a production-line environment may substitute.
  • Adherence to company core values at IBR.
