Job summary

Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co in North Augusta, SC is seeking a full-time General Labor worker for the day shift. You will read and follow work orders, operate overhead cranes and forklifts, inspect products, and perform basic machine setups and maintenance.

The role involves working in the hot dip galvanizing area, loading baskets, and ensuring product quality throughout the process. A high school diploma or GED is required and physical stamina is essential.

Qualifications

• Must read work orders and drawings accurately.
• Able to use hand tools and drills safely.
• Capable of lifting 35+ lbs repeatedly and standing long periods.
• Familiar with hand measuring equipment (calipers, rulers, gauges).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend work instructions following procedures.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
• Inspect products for conformance to specs.
• Set up machines and perform basic operator maintenance.
• Work in hot dip galvanizing area loading/unloading baskets and processing products through tanks.

Responsibilities

• Reading and comprehending work instructions while following established procedures.
• Operating overhead cranes and forklifts
• Inspect product per requirements
• Operating bar saws/shears, thread rolling and/or thread cutting machines, and hydraulic benders
• Perform machine setups and basic operator maintenance
• Work as part of a team in the hot dip galvanizing area loading and unloading baskets, processing product through chemical tanks and verifying product quality
