Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Machine Operator to support embossing, sealing, or inspection in a 3rd shift role in Mount Prospect, IL. Training will occur on 1st shift, with overtime opportunities and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 3+ years manufacturing experience), comfort with computers, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time position with equipment and process training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Six Sigma starting procedures.
• Read photometric samples.
• Wash and lubricate belts.
• Create shop packets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, efficient, and productive workplace.
• Maintain utilization and minimize downtime, within departmental guidelines.
• Make decisions regarding quality issues.
• Utilize continuous monitoring devices and other measuring equipment regularly.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation. Perform additional duties, as assigned.

Job Description

Pay: $22.47/hr with a $2.00/hr shift differential

The Machine Operator may be assigned to the embossing, sealing, or inspection departments to support the needs of the business. In this role, you will be assigned to 3rd shift, Monday - Friday 11:00PM - 7:30AM. Training for this position will take place on 1st Shift. You must be able to complete your training on 1st Shift before moving to 3rd Shift. Overtime opportunities are regularly available, depending on the needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications:
