Job summary

The Advance Group is hiring a Machine Operator in Maumee, OH. Training on first shift provides hands-on experience, including forklift and overhead crane certification. After training, second or third shift pay extends to $23/hr with a $1 premium for the later shifts.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined and comfortable with heavy lifting and strict safety standards. Responsibilities include operating CNC, laser, plasma, water jet, and other equipment; measuring parts; reading diagrams;

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools or manual machines.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (fractions to decimals).
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move stainless steel sheets.
• Operate machines including CNC, Laser, Plasma Cutters, Water Jet, Saws, and Deburring equipment.
• Measure metal parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Use hand tools and power tools to grind and finish parts.
• Read and interpret work orders and diagrams.
• Lift and maneuver steel parts up to 70 lbs.
• Complete detailed paperwork and production documentation.

Machine Operator - Paid Training | $22/hr | Maumee, OH

Looking to grow your skills in manufacturing? Get hands-on training to become forklift and overhead crane certified while working with a growing alloy facility in Maumee, OH. This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, machines, and measurements. The Advance Group is currently hiring Machine Operators for a clean, organized production environment with long-term career potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move stainless steel sheets
• Operate machines including CNC, Laser, Plasma Cutters, Water Jet, Saws, and Deburring equipment
• Measure metal parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Use hand tools and power tools to grind and finish parts
• Read and interpret work orders and diagrams
• Lift and maneuver steel parts up to 70 lbs
• Complete detailed paperwork and production documentation

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools or manual machines

Preferred Qualifications

Schedule

• Training on 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (first few month)

After training, move to:

• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay

• $22/hour
• $1/hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift (once hired in)
