Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team in Chicago South. The role involves operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, understanding product lines and installation techniques, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

We offer starting pay of $20 per hour plus benefits including health and retirement plans, paid time off, and an open-door policy with the owner.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred.
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team. The position includes the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Operations Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
