Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the line to produce products that meet quality specifications, maintaining machine systems, making necessary adjustments, and troubleshooting common machine/quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Check the order sheet to determine order specifications and ensure correct materials are used.
2. Load the core hopper with cores.
3. Set up and complete initial threading of the machine.
4. Perform quality checks at least once every hour.
5. Monitor the process, correct jams, and address other problems.
6. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the line to GMP standards.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems; escalate complex issues to maintenance.
li>Prepare rolls and replace mandrels as needed.
2. Perform other duties as assigned.
3. Operate the Spooler line at a minimum of 90% efficiency.
4. Change core knives correctly.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for ten hours (twelve during busy season), and walk up and down steps.
