Job summary

NRP Jones LLC in Indiana seeks an operator for 6 or 8 spindle screw machines to fabricate parts. You will load steel bars, run production, detect tool wear, and communicate with coworkers to ensure safe, organized operations.

The role requires mechanical background, ability to read blueprints, measure with micrometers/calipers, and lift up to 50 pounds. Training from Trainee‑Apprentice to Fully Qualified Operator is available.

Qualifications

Position Overview

• Operate 6 or 8 spindle screw machine to fabricate parts. Load steel bars into machine, cycle machine, detect malfunctions in machine such as warn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, communicate with co‑workers regarding production runs and maintain safe, organized and clean work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate one or more screw machines.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Set up machine(s) for different parts being run and maintain acceptable setup times.
• Able to sharpen tools.
• Read micrometers and calipers.
• Inspect and check quality of work as directed by foreman.
• Maintain production efficiency.
• Clean and lubricate assigned machines.

If not a fully qualified operator there is a training period offered. The training begins with Trainee‑Apprentice with progression to Class A setup & Fully Qualified Operator.
