Job summary

Stellar is seeking a dependable candidate for a fabrication/machining role in our production area. You will be trained on multiple fabrication machines such as Mill, Lathe, Laser, Brake Press, Burnout Table and Saw, performing assigned tasks under supervision.

The position requires willingness to learn, strong attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to operate simple systems or software.
• Excellent attendance and reliability are expected.
• Ability to climb ladders and move in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as required by tasks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fabrication Department machines (Mill, Lathe, Laser, Brake Press, Burnout Table, Saw) as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor.
• Read blueprints and technical documents to perform tasks accurately.
• Follow directions from supervision and adhere to safety rules.
• Collaborate with team to minimize scrap and maintain quality.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and comply with company policies.

Description

Summary: Successful candidate will be trained on Fabrication Department machines to include Mill, Lathe, Laser, Brake Press, Burnout Table and Saw. Will perform various tasks on these machines or other work as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Be capable of performing all aspects of the Fabrication Department machines, working with other employees as part of a team, and be prompt and on time daily for work.
• Willingness to take direction from area supervision and follow that direction.
• Be capable of reading blueprints and understanding them and other technical documents required by the job of machinist.
• Have the ability and desire to become efficient with mechanical equipment and learn all aspects of job as required.
• Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
• Works in such a way as to create no or limited scrap or rework and works to continually improve quality level.
• Follows all company safety rules as laid out in the company safety manual and all other company policies.
• Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Continually strive to improve in all aspects of job requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Daily use of 5 senses to maintain safety for the team and self.
