Responsibilities include:

1. Assist in routine machine settings and adjustments.
2. Operate and adjust packaging or manufacturing machinery under supervision.
3. Monitor processes and ensure material flow.
4. Check dimensions of parts according to technical drawings and make necessary corrections.
5. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and machinery.

Machine Operator

Operates various forming, folded carton, slitting, die cutting, and printing equipment to produce quality finished products according to manufacturing specifications.

Description of Major Responsibilities

• Observe all safety rules and use safe working methods and procedures at all times to avoid injury or damage.
• Perform minor machine and equipment maintenance.
• Clear jams using safe work procedures.
• Lift raw materials as needed to feed equipment.
• Inspect product throughout forming process; recognize quality issues and report them.
• Interpret shop packet details and instructions.
• Provide relief for other production staff.
• Participate in continuous improvement (CI) events.
• Participate in AIB housekeeping and food safety programs.
• Support plant housekeeping efforts.
• Provide data for periodic maintenance work to supervisors or team leaders.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing (90%), occasional walking (10%), twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 30 lbs regularly, and over 40 lbs occasionally. Reaching at various levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and high-volume production experience are a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
