Job summary

Danfoss in Freeport, IL, seeks a 3rd Shift Machine Operator to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate parts. Read blueprints, align components, monitor quality, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

You will be expected to comply with procedures, assist in processes, and support broad manufacturing goals while contributing to a climate of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and measurement.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written and oral instructions.

We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. Machine Operators set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. Wage Range for this position is $20.34 - $22.50 per hour, with a 10% shift premium.

Machine Operators set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. Wage Range for this position is $20.34 - $22.50 per hour, with a 10% shift premium. What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Capability to apply logical reasoning and comprehension to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently needs to talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Essential vision abilities for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
