Job summary

This Production Operator role in Florence, SC supports the production line by assisting the lead and supervisor with planning, equipment setup, and ensuring smooth operation.

You will monitor line speeds and oil levels, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and perform data recording for weights and SPC-related quality checks.

The role requires reliable attendance, willingness to rotate tasks, and adherence to safety and QA standards including HACCP and USDA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Lead and Supervisor in planning equipment and labor.
• Set-up and adjustments of equipment and machines used in Production.
• Check conveyor line speed and oil levels.
• Troubleshoots equipment and make minor repairs.
• Record weight data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform Total Quality Control (TQC) functions: Able to learn Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Assist with the training of line team members.
• Inspect in-feed and out-of-feed of product into the fryer for appropriate quality and standards.

Job description

• Calculate averages and plots range as required, adjusts machinery to ensure weights are within limits and ranges set forth by Ruiz Foods.
• Record weight data in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform Total Quality Control (TQC) functions: Able to learn Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Assist with the training of line team members.
• Inspect in-feed and out-of-feed of product into the fryer for appropriate quality and standards.
• Machine Operator audits and record results of audit as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to Safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), sanitation Rules, regulations, company policies and other 3 rd party standards.
• Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
• Partial or extended days may be required
• Perform all other duties and rotate into all other tasks as assigned.
