Job summary

451 Research Mobility team (Yankee Group) is seeking entry-level Machine Operators for on-site, full-time work. No prior experience required; training will be provided on site. You will run lathes, mills, and automated tools, ensuring safety and quality in every part produced.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable reading rulers while performing basic math. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm EST, with on-the-job learning and growth potential.

Qualifications

  • No experience required for an entry-level role.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand or sit for 8 hours per shift.
  • Able to read a ruler and perform basic math.
  • Willing to learn on site and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce steel tooling.
  • Coordinate job execution and understand the production process.
  • Be efficient while maintaining part quality.
  • Use manual and/or computer-controlled machinery.
  • Learn machine functions and safety protocols.
  • Fill out and document production logs.
  • Produce parts consistent with specifications and minimize defects.
  • Keep the workspace clean.
  • Demonstrate curiosity for workplace and personal growth.

Entry Level Position - No Experience Needed*

We are looking for Machine Operators to run a varied amount of centers , lathes, mills, and automated cutting tools to perform assigned tasks through a production process.

A great machine operator needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. They must also have knowledge of basic mathematics as well as respect for safety precautions.

The goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize quality. You will ensure steel tooling meets precise specifications while achieving efficiency.

All training will be provided on site.

Responsibilities
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders to produce steel tooling.
  • Understand the production process and coordinate job execution.
  • Being efficient with work-time while also producing parts at quality level.
  • Use manual and/or computer-controlled machinery.
  • Understanding and learning how your machine functions.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to learn how to use precision tools (e.g. calipers/micrometers) to take accurate measurements.
  • Filling out and documenting production logs.
  • Learn to produce in consistency with specifications and minimize defects.
  • Keep a clean workspace.
  • A curious mind for workplace and personal growth.
Qualifications

  • Physical Ability - lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physically Ability - stand or sit for 8 hours per shift.
