Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Machine Operator for a leading metal fabrication client in Elkhart, Indiana. The role involves setting up and operating production equipment, monitoring performance, and ensuring finished products meet specifications.

The position offers hands-on training, potential overtime, and opportunities for growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Training shifts are provided with regular 2nd shift scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools, including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting, welding, packaging, and related production equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
• Package finished products according to customer specifications.
• Operate forklifts, electric hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload materials and transport products throughout the facility.

As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

ELKHART, IN

Pay Range:

$21.00 per hour

Shift:

• Training: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Regular Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• During furnace operations, employees may work 12-hour shifts:
  • Days: 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Afternoons/Nights: 5:30 PM - 5:30 AM
