Job Details

• Location: Rumford, RI
• Position: Machine Operator
• Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with Friday overtime as needed)

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Machine Operators to set up, operate, and maintain roll stand machines in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and ensuring smooth production while following safety procedures and completing accurate paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machines safely and efficiently
• Set up machines according to product specifications
• Load and thread paper into machines
• Adjust slitter blades and cut-off saws as needed
• Sharpen blades and perform mechanical adjustments
• Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, greasing, inspections)
• Maintain a clean and organized production area
• Minimize downtime between setups
• Assist in other areas of the plant when required

Technical Requirements

• Experience with gears, chains, and equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of vacuum systems
• Familiarity with hot melt glue systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret product specs and blueprints
• Strong math skills and ability to use a tape measure
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime
• Forklift and mechanical experience preferred
• Basic Excel and scanner use is a plus
• Must have a clean background (no criminal record)
