Mason Manufacturing, LLC in Decatur, IL seeks a skilled Machine Operator to work on custom pressure vessels with a stable schedule and team collaboration.

You will handle plate rolling, brake pressing, CNC plasma cutting, and welding tasks while following blueprints and safety standards. Training is provided to build competency in plasma cutting and ASME code awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience with plate rolling, brake press, shear and welding is preferred.
• ASME Code environment welding experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate plate rolling, brake press, shear, plasma cutting and welding per job specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specs to fabricate or repair vessels.
• Work independently and with teammates to meet production schedules.
• Maintain safety and quality within the shop's control system.

Our operators work on a wide variety of custom fabricated pressure vessels while working within a stable, predictable work schedule

Operator Responsibilities & Duties

• Operators roll plate in a variety of sizes including 3/16\" thick up to 1\" thick with up to 120\" diameter
• Welding experience is preferred
• Experience preferred includes set-up and operation of brake press
• Operators with experience with 1/2\" sheer a plus
• Work independently based on job specifications
• Willingness to attain competency (we train) in:
• Plasma cutting
• Attaining the ability to read blueprints
• Plate Lay-out
• Attaining applicable weld certifications if needed
• Attaining a basic understanding of applicable ASME Codes
• Ability to operate within the company’s quality control system * Work collaboratively with teammates
• Perform all work safely - be Safety Focused

Operator Qualifications & Skills

• Previous work experience with plate rolling, brake press operation, shear operation, plasma cutting, and welding experience
• Experience welding within an ASME Code environment, high desirable
• Demonstrated skills welding pressure vessels, large structural products or equivalent, highly desirable
• A track record for dependability
• Has basic skills in math and reading
• Is a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
