Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate extruder and molding machines to produce quality products.
• Familiarize with weighing scales and gauges for measurement.
• Operate the press and follow work instructions.
• Perform visual inspections and coordinate with quality control.
• Package finished parts and tag work orders.
• Complete paperwork associated with work orders.
• Suggest preventive measures and process improvements.
• Keep machines and surrounding area clean and well-maintained.

Job description

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for machine operator positions at a company in Danbury CT. These are temp-to-hire positions. The machine operator is responsible for operating and maintaining molding and extrusion machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The day shift is 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18-$22 an hour. The night shift is 8 p.m.-4 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18-$22 an hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Properly operate extruder and molding machines and any support equipment to produce quality product in a timely fashion
• Become familiar with weighing scales and gauges for measurement
• Operation of the press
• Follow work instructions and directions
• Visual inspection of work, and interface with quality control
• Packaging of work parts
• Identification/tagging of work
• Completion of paperwork related to a specific work order
• Suggest preventive measures when identified
• Suggest improvements to processes when identified
• Work with Quality Control to maximize quality
• Make process adjustments
• Keep the machine and related equipment operating properly and clean including tooling, surrounding area
• Other duties as assigned
