Job summary

Hamilton Connections, Inc. in Waterbury is seeking a Machine Operator for a manufacturing company. Previous Machine Operator experience is required. This is a temp-to-perm position.

Schedule: 3:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Compensation: $17.50 per hour D.O.E. You will identify in-process product conditions, perform inspections, report defects, and help maintain the production line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or equivalent; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with deep draw and progressive manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to be a team player and to communicate effectively.
• Able to use hand trucks and other equipment to move product to the next operation.
• Must be able to use and read calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc., to ensure product meets customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify in-process product condition and collect samples during the production process.
• Conduct in-process inspections per the assigned control plan.
• Report any defect conditions observed to the Quality department for disposition.
• Comply with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Maintain production line operation: load raw material stock; clean and lubricate machine components; move production to the next operation and document those tasks as assigned.
• Ensure 6S practices are conducted throughout the assigned area.
• Non-essential responsibilities: performs other duties as directed.
