Job summary

Tarter Gate Company, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator for our Corinne, Utah facility. This full-time role involves operating band saws, press brakes, plasma tables and related equipment to manufacture gate components.

You will perform quality checks, setup and changeovers, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while supporting continuous improvements and cross-training across jobs. The position requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and computers listed (band saw, press brake, plasma table, etc.).
• Ensure product meets specifications and perform quality control.
• Clean and maintain a neat work area; support 5S and continuous improvements.
• Set up and inspect equipment before use.
• Communicate with other shifts' operators and set-ups.
• Start up and shut down procedures.
• Assist mechanics and machinists with repairs.
• Cross-train on other jobs.
• Perform equipment change-overs.

FABRICATION

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 1. Operate machinery and computers that may include the following: band saw, press brake, plasma table, minster press, iron worker, tube bender, tube notcher, drill press, overhead crane, or forklift.
• 2. Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product with specifications.
• 4. Clean and maintain a neat work area (5S projects and continuous improvements).
• 5. Initial set-up and inspection of equipment to be operated.
• 6. Communicate with operators and set-ups from other shifts.
• 7. Start up and shut down procedures.
• 8. Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work.
• 9. Be able to cross train on other jobs.
• 10. Perform equipment change-overs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors and work boots. Loose fitting jewelry and clothes are not permitted.
