Job summary

Cenveo in Cleveland, OH is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operators (Packers) to load paper, operate envelope folding machines, inspect quality, and pack finished products for shipment.

The 2nd shift runs 3:25pm–11:25pm and the 3rd shift 11:20pm–7:20am, with overtime possible during busy seasons. Base pay is $18.82/hr with shift premiums of $1.25/hr and up to $1.50/hr for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of production experience preferred.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to read a ruler.
• Basic math, verbal and written communication, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Load paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and pack finished product.
• Inspect envelope quality, label cartons, and report variances to key personnel.
• Check daily production orders to determine requirements.
• May perform rework on finished products and clean up workspace at shift end.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operators (Packers) for our envelope manufacturing facility in Cleveland, OH.

Machine Operator Pay/Schedule

• $18.82hr+$1.25/hr shift premium; $1.50/hr-3rd shift premium
• 2nd shift-3:25pm - 11:25pm; 3rd shift-11:20pm-7:20am
• Schedule for 2nd shift- Monday-Friday; 3rd shift-Sunday-Thursday; plus overtime may be required during busy season

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Loads paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
• Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
• Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished products; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness; ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
• Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue; etc.).
• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.

Machine Packer Requirements/Qualifications:
