Job summary

Cenveo Worldwide Limited in Smyrna, GA is hiring immediately for Machine Operators (Packers) on the 3rd shift (11pm - 7am). Responsibilities include loading paper into automatic feeding machines, inspecting envelopes, and packing finished products in a team environment.

Pay is $17-18/hr plus a $1.35/hr 3rd shift premium; Saturdays may be required during busy seasons. Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months of production experience, with basic math,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of relevant production experience preferred.
• Ability to measure/read a ruler and perform basic math.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Load paper on to envelope folding machines and pack products.
• Inspect envelope quality and report variances.
• Perform rework as needed and assist with production schedules.
• Keep work area clean and safe; follow shift procedures.

We are hiring immediately for Machine Operators (Packers) on 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) in our Smyrna, GA location.

Pay & Schedule

• $17-18/hr depending on experience + $1.35/hr 3rd shift premium
• Schedule is Mon-Fri with Saturdays required during busy season/business needs

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Load paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and pack the finished product in a team environment.
• Inspect quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel and checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished product.
• Cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Requirements & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math skills and the ability to perform in a high volume work environment.
• Basic verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness to stop equipment when jam occurs.
• Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Manual dexterity required to grasp objects; exposure to arm and wrist fatigue.
• Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
